Being a gardener at heart, I always look at nature for inspiration.
Dicentra commonly known as Bleeding Heart became an obvious Love Thursday opportunity when it flowered for me this week in Luxembourg.
I love plants that pick quirky places to flower . This Campanula flowers on the corner of the terrace at Positano.
It's the unexpected in nature, that makes you stop and marvel !

Nice Heart, nice flowers...I have a dirty mind though...It looks like a heart and the dangling part...well I better keep my thoughts to myself...:0
Does your campanula do well in full sun? Mine are struggling a bit.
lucia- I must have taken it from the wrong angle.
sally- They do it all themselves - the campanula muralis here are self seeders. They like their feet wet though.
I love flowers and plants. We have had a lot of them at home. Although we don't have own garden (we live in a flat), but we have had some on the balcony.
Take care!
They're called löjtnantshjärta in Swedish; lieutenant's heart. Aren't they beautiful!
Oh dear. I planted mine, but they are in a position that is maybe too well drained.
I love the Dicentra..beautiful :-)
Chiara- Balconies can look lovely too !
Annika- Lieutant's heart - how romantic !
Sally- There are some types that do well in hotter spots too. The taller types. I've had to pull a lot out in Luxembourg because they spread. Pity that you are so far - I'd give you some. Might send them too you in winter...
Anne- I've just planted it from root stock. I hope that it survives the two months without me.
